When I first started my business, I was so so perfection-driven that I got this paralysis by analysis thing. I see how he’s doing it and I see how they’re doing and I’m nowhere near that so how can I even do anything.
Do not compare to others
We compare ourselves to someone that’s way further down the road and expect our start to be that. The advice I give is almost counter-intuitive or counterculture to what we’re used to being told. When you’re first getting started, you almost want quantity over quality. I don’t mean like put trash out, but get yourself out of this, especially when it comes to content out of this headspace like it’s got to be perfect.
You don’t have to be perfect
Oftentimes, you just need to get the ball rolling and the action will help you kind of refine what you do. You can always go back and correct and you can fix things and delete content if it’s bad. I think if we can get out of this headspace of “it’s got to be perfect” and just start moving then it’ll kind of take care of itself.
